Lique Schoot’s ‘LS data’ is a conceptual art work, extended in time, frame by frame. Each work is dated based on the life of the artist. The starting point for her multidisciplinary work – comprising photography, paintings, poems, objects and installations – consists in the LS diaries, a visual diary in progress, started in 2003. The archive contains more than 4000 pictures showing daily moments of Lique at arm’s length. Every day one photo is taken with an analogue camera and titled by date (year, month, and day). Her work shows the existence of human life.
For This Art Fair, Lique is going to create an installation called ‘Moments in Time 15/16 12/01 30/03’. Old and new work will be combined in a poetic way.
Lique Schoot’s work has been awarded with prizes several times, and has regularly been exhibited in the Netherlands as well as abroad, in galleries, museums and art fairs. The work is part of public, private and museum collections.
