Sanne Kabalt works with the visual media of photography and video. Her work is about what you do not see: psychological aspects of humanity such as recollection, sanity and empathy. Kabalt is continuously investigating, manipulating, and playing with the relation between what you see and what you feel. Her work is not finished until the viewer relates to it.
Sanne Kabalt graduated from the Utrecht School of the Arts (2011). She has exhibited at Het Nederlands Fotomuseum and Art Rotterdam, and participated in residencies in Romania and Iceland. Her recent project about the return of wolves in the Netherlands was published in Vrij Nederland magazine this fall. Currently Sanne is working on a photographic children’s book that you can help to crowdfund during This Art Fair.
