Thijs Rijkers wants to surprise people and give them understanding. His work revolves around providing insight into processes. It needs no explanation; it speaks for itself. During this process, the viewer is triggered to enjoy the beauty of a machine; he is an interpreter for the language of the machine.

Rijkers’ qualities are visual thinking, constructive structures and the translation of concepts. His goal is to realize everything that is on his mind. No bridge is too far. Through his fascination for and knowledge of mechanical engineering and electronics, he is able to realize conceptual machines in drawings and/or physical form. His signature is currently evolving and becoming more refined through experience, time and access to a great variety of tools and equipment.
