In our art practices we share a common interest in the position of ourselves towards reality, in the nature of our being. We are especially interested in the situation in which one detaches oneself from the constraints of causality and experience, through personal meaning.

This interest is closely related to synchronicity. Synchronicity is the occurrence of a series of meaningful coincidences. As these events connect to each other through meaning and not through a causal relationship, synchronicity is considered the opposition of causality. Furthermore, this division between causality and synchronicity bears a strong resemblance to the perception of reality.

Jointly, we have explored the theory of synchronicity. As a result, we have combined our work in one installation, in order to keep away from the causalities that are introduced through working in a sequential way. The installation has meaning through our cooperation.
