MILK collaborates with different artists and focuses on site-specific performances and installations.
At TAF MILK shows several performative installations by Allard Medema, Merel Noorlander, Art van Triest and a special performance by Kirsten Heshusius
December 28, 17.30 / Performance by Kirsten Heshusius
The work of Kirsten Heshusius can be best described as visual poetry which evokes universal thoughts about the existence. Within her performances she looks at the transformation of the body and strong but minimal visual metaphors, often autobiographical. Because the body acts as a mirror, it elicits feelings of recognition through its transformations. Architecture, nature and history of the performance area provide the starting point and put the work in the space.
At the moment Heshusius is developing a new performance about the symbolism of the Dutch flag. She examines her borders, origins and the influence of history on today. During TAF she gives a preview.
