We asked successful former participant Peim van der Sloot about his experiences with This Art Fair.

It resulted in countless collaborations

“This Art Fair has a unique atmosphere due to the diversity of artists and the dynamics of the event itself. It offers a platform for new, innovative art and ensures that you as an artist really come into contact with collectors and other professionals,” says Peim van der Sloot, who has benefited greatly from his participation: “This Art Fair played an important role in my development as an artist. It resulted in countless collaborations, I came into contact with my current gallery Brinkman & Bergsma, and I met many new collectors.”

What does Peim think of This Art Fair’s concept of artists presenting their own art? “It was a super educational experience to be at a fair as an artist yourself, and it was great fun to give it my own twist. It is inspiring to see how everyone fills it in in their own way. That reflects the diversity of makers and gives the fair a unique character.”

The guidance was always great

“I attended all the workshops and peripheral programs surrounding the fair, which has greatly expanded my network. The guidance was always great,” says the artist about how he was prepared for his participation.

Peim also has a tip for future participants: “This is the ideal opportunity to make a big statement with your work, so don’t hold back!”
