Each colour is a natural dye made from medicinal plant, food waste and suburban flowers. I collect and merge traditional knowledges, recipes and methods, translating them into hues and shades. The rhythm and composition of each piece are shaped by biometric and empirical data which patterns found in nature and human perception become part of a textile lexicon and system.
I use perforated aluminum to reference punch cards – historically associated with Jacquard looms and early data processing – as canvases for embroidery. Inspired by low-fi digital imagery, computational weaving drafts, and stitching charts, I create three-dimensional surfaces where each pixel and byte materialises into physical grids.
This series acts as a journal-like record and archive, mapping the body’s rhythms and embodied experience in relation to cosmic and natural forces. The embroideries, floating on hand-brushed steel plates, were inspired by the rare seven-planet alignment of 2025, when Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Mercury briefly shared the sky.
I draw connections between plant-based processes, cosmic influences, and computational systems, integrating mathematical formulas and the physical materialisation of wavelengths to explore how frequencies and data transform into colour, structure, and form.
