The works Hannah displays in the tunnels of Forteiland are inspired by the tunnels of the bark beetle. They burrow these between the wood and bark of trees, but Hannah uses a material made by humans: plywood. The artist reproduces the tunnels using a milling machine; mechanically, yet just as instinctively.
