Iskra investigates how politics and economics shape landscapes, from mass tourism on the Adriatic coast to militarisation in the Netherlands. At Art Island, she presents a series of prints, metal works, and a miniature theatre examining how military ideas and imagery are projected onto Dutch nature. Using NATO terrain symbols, camouflage patterns, plants, and older magical references, she shows how nature is transformed into “terrain” and absorbed into political narratives.
