As an artist, I aim to express every thought that cannot be shared through other means than artistic ones; a straightforward and oppressive rendition of the human condition and how agonizing it can be.
I play out self-destructive urges, not for the act itself but to capture the tension it brings and the moment it reaches its peak. Other times I simply present the world as I experience it. Like a disjointed yet continuous red line, my works are reactions, explanations or extensions of each other.
Working with both 35mm and super 8 film, I make sure to put every aspect of my medium of choice to good use, be it the freedom to develop my negatives in concoctions of bodily fluids and chemicals or the physical restrictions that naturally occur whenever opting for analog over digital.
From morbid fantasies to neurotic ramblings, there’s no emotion I will not share. I have chosen to embrace the turmoil and seek the beauty within, and for this there’s no length I will not go to if necessary.
