What if, in our fast-paced world, we’ve lost the ability to truly connect with each other and ourselves? This is the question my work explores, inviting you to rediscover these vital connections through a mix of paintings and ceramics. At the center of my presentation stands a tall ceramic skyscraper, which for me symbolises current society. This society is constantly pushing to be faster, more efficient, taller, and bigger, yet doing so at the expense of both humanity and the environment.
In addition to the ceramic buildings, I also present a collection of painted characters. They have lived in these buildings for a long time, but no longer feel at home. As a result, they embark on a search for a new world, escaping the city.
In their journey, they seek to understand who they are and reconnect with their hearts. In doing so, they turn off their rational thinking and create a new world together, one that meets their needs.
