I like to display snippets of what happens in the now through outdated techniques, since times are as confusing as they are devestating and seem to go backwards.

My practice consists of video works and installations that incorporate sculptural machines, metal instruments or furniture. I like to combine the ordinary with the grandiose, day to day stuff with ornaments, and material problems with a structural view. At the beginning of most of my work, there is the clash of progressive dreams and a proletarian gaze, a serious search and a flat answer.

My craft as a blacksmith is a tool for me to put into perspective what I see and deal with, what worries and what excites me. Icons like money, siliconesque robots, baby angels and traps are recurring themes. My work fancies feedback loops, alliances and profanation – letting the soft merge with the hard, the body with its tools, the warm and safe with the hazard, and the dude with the baby and the lady.
