Louise te Poele (1984) graduated from ArtEZ in 2008.
Still life photography
Louise te Poele is known for her figurative still life photography. Inspired by masterpieces in art history she creates contemporary still life artworks referring to art history and the present, by adding materials from today, such as plastics etc.
At This Art Fair, we show a different side of her work. Louise te Poele is currently developing abstract photography, which results in stunning photos that reveal her background of painting and drawing. For example in the areas of shadow and light, and in her eye for a perfect aesthetic composition.
Her works have been exhibited worldwide in places like Paris, New York, Hong Kong, Berlin and Istanbul. Her work is part of the collections of the Dutch Embassy in Japan, the French state, and Museum Arnhem.
Furthermore, Louise te Poele is now developing her work as a performance artist in the artist collective ‘Post Ratio’. At Blooz Gallery office, Post Ratio gave a thrilling art performance during the Art Night in Nijmegen. Post Ratio was also invited to do an art performance in the David Lynch Club in Paris.
