I graduated from HKU Fine Art in 2019. My paintings mostly derive from film stills taken out of old spaghetti westerns, although these days I also use antique photographs. I try to make a painting loosely based on the information I have, so that the work stands on it own and the connection to the source of the image is not directly apparent. With this in mind, most of the time I want to show as little context as possible without losing recognisability.
