Curious about what an artist observes in your home or workplace? And how can an everyday place serve as inspiration for a work of art? During This Art Fair, I present a new concept called ‘Artist in Your Residence’: an artist residency in a place of your choice.
I like to make small interventions in everyday life. A specific place serves as a starting point, after which I respond with my work to something that is already there, either something visible or something more abstract. My work therefore takes on different forms: from temporary interventions and installations to recurring performances.
For the ‘Artist in Your Residence’ project, I would like to invite myself at your place to apply this method on site. Together we agree on how long my residency will be and what other possibilities or limitations there are to work with. Based on these conditions, each residency will result in a unique work of art of which the form is not fixed in advance. For me, this project will be a challenge and source of inspiration, for you, hopefully a new perspective on your everyday environment through art.
