For a long time, I have been intrigued by cars. I have recently been regarding the car as a living creature and I’ve been wondering where it comes from. Does it hatch from an egg or is it the product of fertilisation by ‘car sperm’?
These questions are explored in the Museum van Carcheologie (Museum of Carcheology), a curiosity cabinet about the life cycle of a car – from ‘car sperm’ to ‘car fossil’.
For one car, the life cycle is long, while for the other it’s unexpectedly short. It can even happen that a car is born deformed and dies immediately. These phenomena are preserved in jars and are exhibited, together with other strange cases, in the Museum of Carcheology.www.olafmooij.nl
