The possibilities for play in public space have become increasingly restricted. Safe shapes and vandalism-proof materials leave little to no space for imagination and eliminate a valuable aspect of playing: taking risks. Associations with play are limited to the point where it is no longer able to evolve freely and where the framework of the game is dictated by fixed form, materiality, command, habit and use.

By playing with these existing frameworks and having them relate to one another in various ways, the work explores the relation between humans and play, and between materiality, tactility and imagination.
