Rob Polmann (27, Amsterdam) is a freelance dance performer, choreographer and analog photographer. My life is my choreography. Movement is constantly changing. As all human beings are always in movement, stillness is an impactful change. That’s where the dance starts. How will my photo exhibition dance?
Instead of giving you a live performance, this choreography of still imagery will be a universal ballet. Constantly rotating movement has no begin or end, but this photo exhibition does have these two elements. The independently taken analog pictures all have their authentic place and timing. The photos are not staged or edited in this spirit. As a dancer and photographer, I’m moving in what seems like solid. The human kingdom is guided by symbols and music that travel with us along the way. They are waiting for us to pick up the traces we have left on the way back home. These images together translate the transition where I have to move out ‘doing the dancer’. A moving human takes place.www.robpolmann.com
