He draws inspiration for his objects, paintings, drawings, sound and performances from everything the body excretes: air, liquids and solids.

In his carnivalesque practice, Simon uses desecration to show an inside-out, or topsy-turvy world. The objects and rituals of this world start around a culture of laughter and are based around the bodily realities of the lower stratum.
