Before becoming a full-time artist, I did humanitarian work in such diverse countries as Yemen, Mozambique, Indonesia, South Sudan and many others, maybe because of a naïve ambition to make our world better, fighting for people and children living in poverty and desperate situations. I have visited remote villages and observed the universality of human dreams. Now I am trying to change the world through my art and discussions with visitors (I welcome all).
My artwork shown at This Art Fair is inspired by current political and social issues like climate change, discrimination and social isolation, with a view at what joins us as humanity, but also to put issues to the forefront. This is a way for me to express my own anxieties and a way to discuss with people looking at my work.
I am heavily influenced by comics, kids’ drawings and street art. Mixed with renaissance and realism I end up at a blend of styles. My mantra is “Art for All”.
