We humans try to make sense of the world. We label and organise it, hoping that this rational method will give us a sense of certainty and control, but during that endeavour we overlook other possibilities.

My work plays with our understanding of reality. I search for magic in the ordinary. I use my entire body as a research tool, like we all did as kids: climbing, hiding, roleplaying, etc. I gain understanding through physical experience rather than logical reasoning.

From these playful investigations, poetic interventions arise that exist in video, as public action or as installation. I create moments in which reality merges with imagination. In this way I give new meaning to everyday things and offer new possibilities of seeing, thinking and understanding. I want to break open the structures of our thinking and inspire people to rediscover the world with an open-minded view.
