My work consists of video, sculptures, photos, installations and performance. The work is a fusion of experiences, fascinations and suggestions. These fascinations stem from my interest in cinematography, or rather, the moving image, and especially the techniques of visual and special effects. Think of techniques such as blue screens, miniatures, music, light or digital 3D.

Cinematography has a strong connection with time. It is also said that film = time. With certain works, such as “So How Did We End Up Here?” (2014), I seem to have hit the pause button, or made a juxtaposition by freezing time and at the same time letting it go on forever, as in ‘Eternal Sunshine’ (2018-present). Slowing down, stopping, accelerating or the duration of a certain thing and the experience of this are recurring motifs in my work. The works together do not form one concrete idea, but each offer their own suggestion.
