I create kinetic sculptures that explore the balance between conceptual translation, industrial engineering and elegance. My works are not just machines, but poetic expressions of movement, designed to engage both mind and soul.
In an era of automated production, I value true craftsmanship. I transform raw bar stock, primarily aluminium and brass, into intricate machines. My personal touch adds uniqueness, and slight imperfections become part of the object’s charm. The final outcome results in a refined combination of industrial precision and elegance.
A recurring theme in my work is unveiling what usually remains hidden, whether in mechanical processes or natural forces. For instance, one of my machines mimics the movements of an elderly man using a walking stick. For me, movement becomes a language, translating emotion and thought into motion and form.
For This Art Fair, I am delving deeper into my fascination with objects that are weathered and unconsciously marked by human impact. With each piece, I experiment with different conceptual and visual translations to achieve the desired outcome, revealing the hidden beauty of worn materials.
