In my work I operate on the boundary of the medium and use the foundations of painting such as brushwork, hanging, paint, pigment and canvas, but also references to art history and contemporary discourse as material. My work is created through appropriation and reference. Depth I find in flatness, in the ignoring of hierarchies, in irony, humor and subversion.

I graduated from the Gerrit Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam in 2019. I am a Master in Social Psychology and consider myself a discourse artist who explores the philosophical possibilities of the medium of painting.
