In dazzling combinations of film, collage, sculpture, music, photography and live performance, I create worlds that feel both funny and dystopian. Pizza, plastic kitsch and HEMA workwear well summarise my fascination with the present. The seductive colours, shiny materials and hysterical combinations are reminiscent of the aesthetics of the internet and the hallucinogenic experience that a large shopping center or city like New York or Tokyo can offer. The work blurs the line between what is real and what is counterfeit, between art and kitsch, between original and constructed. Victor Crepsley is the alter ego of Jason Dolman.
