I work with textiles and fabrics. The colours and the patterns of certain fabrics conjure up thoughts about stories, fairy tales or important events which may be the starting point for a sculpture. A frame of cardboard or wire netting is then covered with cloth. The sculptures are mostly combinations of no more than a few simple shapes. The sculptures are neither man-sized, nor very small, but mostly somewhere in between. My work conjures up associations with minimalism, but the friendly softness of the used materials, the modest size of the works and the almost makeshift way they are made, gives the works a poetic twist as well.
