Wille-Meike Brand is a Rotterdam-based visual artist. In her work she explores the boundaries of common materials by reinventing the ways in which they can be used. These reinventions create new methods to repurpose waste materials. In recent years she has been focusing on the abundance of textile waste. In her experiment-based research she explores new ways to transform a copy into an original, waste into value and bringing new meaning to the under-appreciated.
