In my practice I reflect on finding balance and acceptance within the natural and inescapable course of things. Time is used as a central component to depict the transformation of creation into nothingness. Rhythmic shapes arise on the canvas, only to transform and disappear into the void. The materials that I use are processed to create compositions that are receptive to the changing daylight; This layer of uncontrollability within my work acts as a visual reference to the fact that in our own lives many things are beyond our control.
