Transforming, transposing and turning (around) are central acts in the work of Eric Martijn. His methodology is thoughtful and intuitive. He carefully observes the material and social context wherein he finds himself. This can be a street, a conversation or a found object, which he mirrors in a work thereby giving it new meaning. His work intersects between performance and sculpture.
Eric Martijn is a conceptual artist living and working in Amsterdam (NL). He studied at the KABK in The Hague (NL) and was selected for the Advanced Course in Visual Arts of the Fondazione Antonio Ratti in Como (IT).
