I am interested in culture, politics and the history behind various daily objects. I use different materials and mediums and am open to collaboration with people from different disciplines. My works are rich in their details of daily life and my compassion for social phenomena comes from both where I have been raised – China, and where I currently live – the Netherlands.

My work always starts with researching my personal experiences in society. In the collection ‘Xiangxie Elysium’ (2019), I was interested in people’s real lives in a Parisian style town in China, which related to the question of my own identity. In ‘Arches of the Triumph’ (2021), I focused on the colonial history between my hometown and Europe, and various speculations about the future.
