“While working I aim to reach a point at which the need for action, intuition and materials coincide. Words emerge only afterwards. Various influences from the media are mixed into my titles or texts.
Apart from painting materials, I now use wood, tape, rolls of plastic, coloured garbage bags, fabric, flags, packaging materials, and fragments (modules) from previously created installations, videos and photographs.
While I used to dynamically paint fragments of personally remembered spaces, exhibiting them as paintings, I now experiment with new exhibition concepts. I try out the work and concepts of artist alliances at various locations. Starting points for the installations and exhibition concepts are mobility, transformation and cursoriness. Nature and people’s cultural conditions present sources of inspiration.
Next to Fire, Art is man’s most powerful instrument. We only experience Beauty in hindsight, once the danger has been averted. The artist acts while researching. Tools and imagination, although incomprehensible, offer the only support to the artist.”
