My art is driven by the use of symbolic language. This Language is manifesting in each object and subject that we encounter in our world and represents hidden stories. What currently fascinates me most about symbols, is its power to alter its own significance when composed in a different constellation. For example, a fire can appear as a destructive forest fire, where its meaning would be different from when we are looking at a comforting warmth of a campfire.
Instead of thinking in words, my thoughts have always been generated in image. Within these thoughts I am searching for a purified concept. In order to find and create the desired result, I have to dive deep into the subtle details of my vision through the process of creating sketches and prototypes. Drawing, as a tool of research, is crucial to explore my inner fantasy. In Addition to that, I am expanding my art practice with crafts such as working with oil paint and making sculptures of ceramic and wood. I use mythological and religious imagery and challenge their communicative potential today. My artwork can be described as mystical and surrealistic with the capability to reveal itself as poetry.
