H.U.T. is a group of artists, musicians and performers from Tilburg. They are committed to experimental culture and underground activities. At This Art Fair, H.U.T. presents the video art of Martha Thissen and Marijn Dijkmeijer. A performance will be developed on the 9th of July and the d.i.y. art magazine MURF/MURW can be admired during This Art Fair.

Martha Thissen writes, is a musician and is a visual artist. Theatrical aspects like spoken word, performance and decor are playing a big part in her visual work. A given, and often, factor is the poetic story. Her stories are from a descriptive nature and are dictating us, the spectators, what we are actually seeing. Films as a medium, contributes to this issue by her compelling ability of directing the specators view. The fact that those who have the floor, possesses the power; until it is taken away from them, is a phenomenon Thissen is aware

Marijn Dijkmeijer is a visual artist and filmmaker. She uses animation to explore narrative as a powerful mechanism. Her working method is in line with the tradition of essay film, a method that flirts with genres such as documentary and fiction, without attaching itself to them.
