“Diggin’ up the Subconscious through Art.”

Artists have been fascinated and inspired by colour theories for centuries. My interest is piqued by the human psyche and the consequential reaction to these colour theories, especially in spatial installations. Most people tend to want an explanation of what’s experienced and seem lost when asked to reflect upon the work. The viewer tries try to give words to what the artist might have meant. The communication between installation and viewer happens more on a subconscious level and is hard to translate into a description. Colour and geometric shapes, with exclusively perpendicular lines, play a central role.
