My gaze focuses on the large areas of colour and shapes that appear all around me: traffic signs, orange PVC pipes on construction sites or green waste bins along the highway. These industrial monochromes or dichromes speak a universal language and are often designed only for their function and visibility. Red is danger; yellow is careful! Although we all perceive the world differently, the objects create a collective pattern of expectations. They alarm us, but they also quickly disappear from our minds; the relationship is in many cases short and impersonal. I try to unravel these relationships.
